The Prosper Arts  and Music Festival sponsored by the Prosper Chamber of Commerce to be held at Town Center at Broadway and Preston this year will include the Prosper Fire Department’s and the Prosper Police Department’s annual Health and Safety Fair.

Last year, without the Health and Safety Fair, over 3000 people attended the Festival.  Some estimates for the  October 3 event run around 4000 with this added feature.

To kick off the Festival, The Health and Saftey Fair will sponsor a 5k and a fun-k run around 9 am that will terminate at the entrance of the Festival on First Street.  This year added attractions include  a fly in heliocopter, fire trucks, police cars and an Emergency Medic Truck.

Parking will also be an added improvement as the huge field behind the CVS pharmacy will be used.  There may be a nominal parking fee of $3 to offset expenses.  Otherwise, this will be a free community family event for the community which is sponsored by the Prosper Chamber of Commerce.

Expect lots of good music and over 50 art and crafter exhibits.  Expect a large fun filled children’s area with animal rides, face painting and more.
