Come January 12, the Prosper Chamber of Commerce will have a new chairman and three new board members.  Andy Thomas owner of  ToThe Rescue, a computer repair and consultant service company will replace out going chairman, Bill Remington from Remington Realtly Group.  Andy has been a Chamber member for several years and served on the board in 2009.  Bill will stay on the board as a non-voting director.  Joey Womble  part owner of the Prosper Remax Office will serve as vice-chairman for 2010.  Joey has been very active in the Chamber.

The three new directors who will serve two year terms are Doug Trumbull, Perry Waller and Brad Chumley.  Doug owns and operates Doug’s “Mighty Clean!” a highly successful carpet and floor cleaning service company.  Perry Waller, a long time member of the Chamber has his own ink cartridge business along with Embroid Me a promo company that can customize or personalize just about anything.  Brad Chumley owns and operates CIM Wealth Advisors, Prosper’s only SEC Registered Investment Advisor firm.  Brad hails from Oklahoma and brings much experience from his chamber memberships and leadership in Tulsa.

An important decision made today by the Chamber board’s annual retreat is to add 2 more directors with one year terms so that the composition of the board will experience more balance and a rotation process that will allow continuity.  The Prosper Chamber hosts the annual Prosper Art and Music Festival in Prosper every fall which gets over 3000 visitors.  The Prosper Chamber  pioneered one of the most hi tech and effective websites in 2009.

The Chamber meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:15 AM at Gentle Creek Golf Club located on Prosper Trail directly across the road from Whispering Farms.  The next meeting will be held on January 12th.
